ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED is a subsidiary of ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LIMITED, which is engaged in the distribution, sales, servicing and maintenance of engineering products and systems. ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED was established to provide specialized engineering services, which have hitherto been provided by foreign firms.
With the dwindling foreign exchange receipts from exports and deterioration of engineering plants and machinery, most of which were installed in the 1960’s, this country requires professionals and technical personnel with requisite exposure and training to either carry out maintenance on these old engineering plants and machinery or install new equipment to replace those that have exceeded their practical service life and are therefore unserviceable.
In order to meet up with the challenges posed by the above scenario, ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED has assembled a cream of experienced, tested and exposed professional Engineers, Technicians and Craftsmen to put their knowledge at the disposal of this nation.
The top cadre of the staff of ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED comprise Technicians and Engineers, who have had the majority of the work experience in the Volta River Authority (VRA), while the lower cache of staff are Craftsmen who have spent a considerable part of their working lives working under amongst others Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) and ALSTOM (formerly AEG).
There is little or no argument that VRA is second to none in the engineering industry in this country, while ABB and ALSTOM are amongst the leading international firms in the power sector. Consequently an assemblage of staff of these two firms could not have been anything but a triumph for the engineering service industry in this country.
